DAVID BECKHAM STAR-STRUCK BY SAJAL AND MEHWISH, FOOTBALLER SIGNS DRAMA SERIAL ‘FOOTBALL KA DEEWANAPAN’

QATAR: The finalé of the FIFA World Cup 2022 saw Argentina seize glory in a close contest against the probable favorites France. It was a see-saw battle between the two sides, which would ultimately culminate in a dramatic penalty shootout. 

And speaking of drama, the spotlight was stolen from the contest by the presence of Pakistani TV stars in the stands. Sajal Aly and Mehwish Hayat were there to witness history, but ended up making it instead. It began when the retired English footballer, David Beckham shared a fan moment with them.

“Pakistani dramas are all I watch ever since my retirement”, piped in an excited David Beckham. “It is my dream to one day work alongside these beautiful, talented people.” And as it did for Lionel Messi that night, the dream came true for Beckham as well.

As fate would have it; actor, director, producer and writer Humayun Saeed was present there as well, who quickly drafted a contract for the Englishman to star in an upcoming drama serial ‘Football ka Deewanapan’. The drama serial, which would center around a love triangle, will be aired on all mainstream media houses from February 11th, 2023.
