Faisalabad Teenager Gets Beaten For Prank Calling Rescue 1122, Calls Rescue 1122 For Help.

-Faisalabad: Qamar, a 16 year old resident of Sadar, Faisalabad, is infamous for pulling pranks in his neighbourhood. Although it may be entertaining for him and his friends, Qamar’s parents are tired of his reputation and have repeatedly warned him to change his ways.

The incident took place after Friday prayers on December 4th when Qamar prank-called Rescue 1122, saying that he had fallen into a well. Qamar was unaware that his mother was listening to him making the call. She disconnected the call, and afterwards beat up Qamar to a point where he got minor bruisings. Qamar’s parents refused to take him to a hospital and he had to call Rescue 1122, this time in good faith.

Rescue 1122 was established under the 2006 Punjab Emergency Service Act to provide management of emergencies such as fire, rescue and emergency medical services.
