“We Have The Perfect Strategy Planned For Dismantling India.” Says Sarafaraz On Eve Of Iconic Clash

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND – Six times, has Pakistan locked horns with arch-rivals India in the Cricket World Cups, each time caving in to pressure; each time tamed and subdued. Amidst the fear of another defeat looming, Pakistan Captain, Safaraz Ahmed has assured the nation, things will be different this time.

“First of all thanks to Allah, boys have another opportunity to break the streak. The team management and players believe we have the perfect strategy planned for dismantling India.”

Recounting the feat of ICC Champions Trophy 2017, where Pakistan defeated India by 180 runs, Sarfaraz Ahmed said, “Nobody gave us a chance, but we won anyways. Nobody has ever given us a chance in World Cups, but we lose. Why? It’s simple, isn’t it. It’s Ramadan and ICC events. You fast, you win, you don’t you lose. Everyone of us was fasting during Champions Trophy, and every one of us will we be fasting tomorrow, even Micky.”

Where thousands of Pakistani mothers will be praying for the success of the men in green, Sarfaraz has urged women across the borders not to pray for their team. “You know how it goes. “Ammiyon se duaen karwa lete hain, phir hamaray bowlers se out nahi hota.” Earlier this year, Andile Phehlukwayo’s mother’s prayers cost Pakistan the 2nd ODI against South Africa in the bilateral series.
