Progressives blame geographical features for creating borders between nations

Thousands of immigrants seeking refuge are pouring into Europe. Many people are attributing the increase in terrorist attacks in the western countries to vulnerable borders and lack of border security. Whether it be Europe or the United States, the political tension around implementing border security is at an all-time high. There is a lot of support for open borders among the Democrats and some of the presidential candidates.

“The closed borders signify the racist, authoritarian ruling elite,” says a political activist, “but overthrowing them is easy. The real culprit is geography. The oceans, the rivers, the mountains, the forests, the deserts; they all create divides between people who could live together peacefully in one giant plot of land.”

Several activists have taken to themselves to remove these arbitrary divides. A man named Colin has made it his life’s mission to cut down all the forests that stand between the United States and Canada. “I’ve been cutting trees for the past two years. I have successfully managed to single-handedly cut 11 trees! A few thousand more and I will make the two countries into one prosperous nation.”

Of course, there’s more to it than just cutting down the forests. Hence, Colin’s friend and a political activist, Clive, has commissioned himself to make bridges on the lakes between the two countries. “People say we’re idealists,” said Clive, “To those people, we say ‘you’re racists!’”

To create awareness, a U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez plans on making a tour of the U.S. shores with several activists and scream at the racist waters.
